Charles Augins, Dance

Ellington’s internationally acclaimed Dance Chair, Charles Augins—famed director and choreographer of Five Guys Named Moe, for which he received a Laurence Olivier Award—shares his rich experience and professional relationships through artist-in-residence programs at the school. He brings students direct experience with eminent companies from the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater to the Suzanne Farrell Ballet. He demands physical and intellectual rigor from his students, to prepare them as assuredly for life as for performing ballet, modern and ethnic dance.
