Biography
Tyler Hoyle is a Communications Specialist with more than seven years of
professional experience working with government, non-profit, and private funded programs
that serve low-income and vulnerable populations. Ms. Hoyle is a storyteller with a passion for youth development and exploring political and social consciousness through the lens of multimedia. As the Communications and External Affairs Manager, Ms. Hoyle works closely with the Administrative Leadership Team within the organization as the communications partner on a variety of strategic initiatives since December 2021. She serves as the primary media contact for the Duke Ellington School of the Arts and The Ellington Fund. This position helps promote the performances and events of these two entities; as well as supporting the school through media outreach, community outreach, and social media campaigns.
Prior to her role as Communications and External Affairs at Duke Ellington, Ms. Hoyle worked
closely with different practice areas to create dynamic and engaging multimedia
communications content for federal clients such as the U.S. Agency for International
Development (USAID) and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Ms. Hoyle’s work included content creation including video and audio production, storyboarding and screenwriting, producing interactive adult e-learning tutorials and interactive courses,
developing photo essays, written communications, and remote video production support. Ms. Hoyle graduated from Pitzer College, in Claremont California, with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Media Studies.
