Show Choir Performance – My Soul Sings of Freedom

Voices In Motion Show Choir from Duke Ellington School of the Arts will be presenting a musical concert honoring Black Heritage and Trailblazing Women. This concert will feature iconic literary works along with a beautiful tapestry of music spanning the African American diaspora. From Traditional Negro Spirituals to Jazz, Gospel, Motown, and even a little Earth Wind and Fire. We are also celebrating the wonderful contributions of female composers Margaret Bonds and Dianne Adams McDowell. You are in for a treat. Please make room on your calendar and consider joining us Saturday, March 4th @ 5:00pm. We’ll be presenting LIVE at the historic St. John’s Episcopal Church, 3240 O Street, NW, Washington, DC 20007. Doors will open at 4:00pm. Admission is free and open to the public.
