Yes, Music Theory and Ear Training is required during your tenure here at Duke Ellington. For those students who are more advanced, we offer Jazz Theory, AP Theory, and Music Composition.
Clarinet, Oboe/English horn, Flute, Bassoon, Saxophone, Trumpet, French horn, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba, Percussion, Drum Set, Guitar, Electric bass, Violin, Viola, Cello, String Bass, Piano, Harp, and Pipe Organ.
The main focus is classical repertoire, which is the foundation of all styles of music. In addition to classical music, the curriculum offers a complete Jazz studies program and commercial music development.
