The S.H.A.D.E. Holiday Bazaar is coming, December 10th, 10am - 7pm!

Hello Everyone!
We've been talking about S.H.A.D.E.'s upcoming Holiday Bazaar and I've finally completed the exhibitor contract. The Holiday Bazaar will take place on Saturday, December 10, 2011 and is an opportunity to highlight all of the amazing talent at Duke Ellington to our Community, prospective students, and potential donors while providing a fund-raising opportunity for all departments. This should be a huge PR and recruiting initiative for Ellington.
The Bazaar will consist of 2 levels of arts and gift vendors and 1 level of food vendors. Exhibitor space is $100 for merchants and $200 for food vendors. Each Arts Department is invited to purchase a table and encouraged to provide roaming performance or arts display throughout the day to showcase their talent. (100% of all vendor sales go to the vendor.)
Our goal is to secure at a minimum 50 vendors and host no less than 1500 visitors throughout the day.
December 10th is fast approaching and we need a massive COLLECTIVE PR effort from EVERYONE to reach our goals. We want to do a radio PSA blitz, local news coverage (Holly on Fox 5's morning show) and every other broad reaching media platform available. If you have a contact for any of this please let me know. S.H.A.D.E. now has a Facebook page so we are asking everyone who has friends on FB to invite ALL of those friends to like the SHADE page as well.
The flyer and contract is attached. Please mass distribute, email blast and talk about this to everyone who may be interested and let me know if there are any questions or if something is missing.

SHADE’s mission is to work as a unified body for the benefit, promotion, and support of the school by serving as a liaison and representative of the school community at large. Two parent representatives and two alternates from each of the eight arts majors make up the executive committee of SHADE.
SHADE is a membership organization requiring a small membership fee to be paid at the beginning of the school year. Because you have selected Duke Ellington for your child’s education, you should be aware that in order for your child to perform at his or her best, much of your support and oversight is required.
SHADE provides support for school-wide activities and concerns, including academics, social learning environment, program enhancement and enrichment. Each of Ellington’s arts departments has a parent body consisting of parents whose children are in that major. This parent group provides support to their child’s specific talent. The departmental parent group usually meets on a monthly basis. One should contact the art department chair for more specific information about the groups.
