Born and raised in Detroit, Dana has been a resident of DC for more than 10 years and calls it home. Dana has 12 years of professional experience spanning business development, team management & development, event management, strategic & consultative selling, total account management, client relationship management, product marketing, youth engagement, and promoting healthy and transparent team culture. He earned his Bachelors in Hospitality Management from Northern Michigan University and his MBA with a concentration in Marketing from University of Maryland, College Park. In addition to his corporate background, Dana is excited to join the Ellington family because he is also an artist. As an R&B/Pop/Soul singer, he is heavily influenced by his Motown roots and draws inspiration and energy from his family and community. In 2013, Dana found the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington and has performed with the group as a Bass, Baritone, Tenor and featured soloist ever since, singing to inspire equality and inclusion.
