SAT Boot Camp

Dear Ellington Parent/Guardian(s):

We are excited to announce that the Duke Ellington School of the Arts (DESA) will be offering a SAT BOOT CAMP exclusively for the class of 2018 (current 11th grade students)! In an effort to better prepare our students for the new SAT exam, which they will take during SAT School Day on Wednesday, March 1st, 2017, this intensive SAT Prep. Workshop will cover test content and strategies. For more information about the NEW SAT, please go to https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat.

Interested students may register online for one of two sessions shown below. The workshops are $75 per student and will be limited to 25 students per session, so please register online and pay your participation fee as soon as possible. Spaces will be reserved in the order that payment is received and participation is limited to one session.

Session A
Date: Saturday, February 11th, 2017
Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (lunch provided)
Location: White Library, Meyer Campus
Enrollment: 25 Students Max
Cost: $75 per student
Restrictions: 11th Grade Ellington Students and/or those currently enrolled in SAT Prep. ONLY

Session B
Date: Saturday, February 18th, 2017
Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (lunch provided)
Location: White Library, Meyer Campus
Enrollment: 25 Students Max
Cost: $75 per student
Restrictions: 11th Grade Ellington Students and/or those currently enrolled in SAT Prep. ONLY

The SAT BOOT CAMP will be taught by Ms. Shuyinthia Farley-Hembry, Chief Academic Officer of Butterfly Works and an Ellington alumna (class of 1996), and Mr. Lunden Smith, a Science teacher and SAT Prep.
