DON’T MISS OUT OF ON A VALUABLE FINANCIAL RESOURCE FOR COLLEGE..
The Federal Government has activated FAFSA 2016/17 on January 1st of this new year. The Counseling Department is tracking the successful completion of FASFA for all Duke Ellington Class of 2016 students. Remember that you must fill out FAFSA in order to be eligible for any financial aid at the college/university level, any DC financial aid programs and many private scholarships as well. The website link is listed below.
The sooner you begin and complete the FAFSA application the better. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to myself or Ms. Adamson, our Duke Ellington DCCAP Advisor for assistance. Ms. Adamson, has invited senior families to work with her on several dates and times this month. Please avail yourselves of this great small group/one-on-one assistance.

Obtaining required FSA ID (Parent & Student)
An FSA ID is a username and password that you must use to log in to certain U.S. Department of Education (ED) websites. Your FSA ID identifies you as someone who has the right to access your own personal information on ED websites such as the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) at fafsa.gov.
If you are a parent of a dependent student, you will need your own FSA ID if you want to sign your child’s FAFSA electronically. If you have more than one child attending college, you can use the same FSA ID to sign all applications. Please note: Each FSA ID user must have a unique e-mail address.
You can create an FSA ID when logging into certain ED websites, including this one. Create an FSA ID now.
