About the author

Roberto Carlos Pérez (Granada, Nicaragua, 1976). Musician, narrator and essayist. He studied Music at Duke Ellington School of Arts and earned a Degree in Classical Music from Howard University, Washington D. C. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Medieval Literature and the Golden Age of Maryland University. Product of its investigations are the numerous trials appeared in national and international magazines. He is the author of the storybook Around midnight and other stories of vertigo in history (2012) and has been included in the anthologies Flores de la Trench. Sample of the new Nicaraguan narrative (2012) and A broken mirror (2014). His story «Francisco Guerrilla» was translated into German and appeared in the anthology Zwischen Süd und Nord: Neue Erzähler aus Mittelamerika (2014). He is also a publisher of the book in honor of the Mexican poet José Emilio Pacheco: José Emilio Pacheco in Maryland (1985-2007) and the critical edition of the novel The vampire (1910), by Froylán Turcios. Roberto Carlos Pérez is a collaborating member of the American Academy of the Spanish Language.
