NATIONAL “AGE OF ANXIETY TOUR” LAUNCHES TUESDAY AT ELLINGTON
Students, faculty members and DCPS administrators will assemble Tuesday, March 3, and hear from:

*DC-based author Warren Getler, a former journalist with The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg News;
*Chip Cooley, lead performer for Social Void, an alternative rock band which will perform as part of the assembly; and
*DC-based Dr. Neil Bernstein, a practicing clinical psychologist, author and speaker.

Getler’s e-novel, Panic, is about a young man navigating the peaks and valleys of panic disorder. The author says the story reflects this era’s “Age of Anxiety.” According to a 2019 Pew Center study, 70% of American teens see depression and anxiety as the leading “major problem” among their peers. Getler and Social Void plan to tour high schools and colleges across the nation to raise awareness of youth anxiety issues.
