Public Transportation to Ellington@Meyer and Garnet-Patterson
The D51 express bus to Ellington@Meyer is up and running. It departs the Congress Heights station at 6:38am. The bus then stops at 38th and Pennsylvania Avenue, SE (Fairfax Village) at 6:45am. Its final pick-up is Pennsylvania and Minnesota Avenues, SE (L’Enfant Plaza) at 6:56am. The D51 arrives at Ellington@Meyer at 7:30am

The closest metro rail station is U Street/African-American Civil War Memorial/Cardozo on the Green Line (take the 10th Street exit). Walk north and Ellington@Garnet-Patterson will be directly across the street. For Ellington@Meyer, walk west one block To 11th Street, make a right and head north 0.4 miles (10 minute walk), the school will be on the right side of the street.

Ellington@Garnet-Patterson is accessible by metro bus routes: 90, 92, 93, 96, X3, 63 and 64. Ellington@Meyer is accessible by metro bus routes 63 and 64.

DC One Card
Students ages 5 to 21 who are DC residents and attend a DC public school or public charter school can ride the Metro rail and Metro bus for free with their DC One Card. The electronic pass is loaded onto students’ DC One Cards. To register your DC One Card and enroll in the program go to the DC One Card website: During the first week of school, each student will be photographed for a DC One Card.
