Duke Ellington School of the Arts is a tuition-free D.C. public high school for verified District residents, while non-residents must pay annual tuition to DCPS. Non-resident tuition for the current school year is $10,376. New residents will be required to verify their residency with the DCPS Student Residency Office prior to registration at Ellington.
I understand the following: 1) I will have to pay non-resident tuition for my child to attend Duke Ellington if I do not meet the residency verification requirements. 2) If I’m found to be a non-resident, I must pay non-resident tuition until I re-establish DC residency. 3) If I’m ordered to pay to pay non-resident tuition and fail to do so, my child will be withdrawn from Duke Ellington HS.
